New Soccer Blog and the Diluted Soccer Media · Jan 4, 09:03 PM

I’ve always been a huge soccer fan. I grew up on the streets of Newcastle, England, and have been a lifelong Newcastle United fan – I held a season ticket for over 13 years. I brought my passion for soccer with me when I moved over to America and I now put that knowledge back into my local soccer community as a USSF Licensed coach.

After moving to the U.S in the autumn of 2000, I’ve been dismayed and sometimes annoyed at the so called ‘soccer experts’ that spout their opinion on TV, podcasts and radio shows as if it were the absolute truth.

The reason for this blog is to cut to the chase and report the real soccer news, not the washed out – incorrect bollocks that I see and hear time after time.

I think these people are so used to hearing their own voice that they actually believe what they are saying. Their audience is vastly American, and being new to the game, they take the majority of things they hear as the truth.

I’m here to say that not all of what you’re hearing is the truth. It is my opinion that the people in the soccer media spotlight, were in the right place at the right time and have taken advantage of their position – to spout their opinion as if it is the only opinion.

If you want a voice that offers up the real soccer news – this is it. If you want a platform to voice your own opinion, this is it.

This is where we do soccer – 24/7.
