Chelsea Appoint Scolari as Head Coach

by admin on June 11, 2008

Chelsea FC have appointed ‘Big Phil’ as their new manager/head coach.

The current Portugal coach will take over on July 1st and has signed a four year contract worth a staggering 27 million pounds.

This seems a do or die move by Chelsea because Scolari has never previously managed a European club and his grasp of the English language appears to be a little suspect at this point. However, it is thought that Scolari’s abilities to handle the big egos went a long way to him being the dominant choice.
