Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has claimed that Ronaldinho has turned down a lucrative offer from Manchester City in favor of signing for Milan or even Chelsea. Even though the Manchester club are offering a staggering salary, Ronaldinho is said to not be all that bothered about money (he has enough of it anyway), and would like to focus on his soccer instead.
Remaining with Milan, Chelsea are said to have made a staggering offer for Brazilian attacker Kaka. With rumors of financial difficulty surrounding Milan, there is talk of them only being able to bring in one major signing (possibly Adebayor of Arsenal) and being unable to compete with the big boys of La Liga and the Barclays Premier League.
One of the tallest soccer players on the planet, Peter Crouch, is apparently close to a move to Fratton Park, turning down Spurs in the process. Harry Redknapp has been a long-term admirer of Crouch and it is thought that 10 million pounds would be enough to persuade Liverpool coach Rafa Benitez to part with his gangly striker. The transfer fee would surely see the Liverpool manager increase his offer for Aston Villa’s Gareth Barry with the asking price something in the region of 18 million pounds.
